Day 19 – Unbreakable (2000)

Unbreakable might just be one of the best superhero movies out there and a great deconstruction of the superhero genre. It’s this kind of movie that looking at it from the surface is a Superman origin story. The indestructible man with a weakness who faces an archenemies who orchestrate everything from behind the scene. It’s a fascinating movie that creates amazing performances from both Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson.

Day 18 – Fyre Fraud (2019)

It’s weird watching two documentaries back to back on the same subject, but it had to be done. If the Netflix documentary is really oriented around the festival itself and how everything went wrong, Hulu’s Fyre Fraud is more interested in the men itself and it’s accomplices. With an exclusive interview with Billy himself, Fyre Fraud tries to show how a pattern of behaviour and con was always there and how it ended up with the man going to prison.

Day 17 – Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened (2019)

We all saw it happen live on social media. The memes, the fun we all had at laughing at those who were stuck there but I think what we forgot are the people who were in the middle of it because of a pathological liar who promised everyone the greatest thing on Earth. The people he scammed out of money, those he worked with and didn’t think of, the locals that were counting on that money. It’s insane when you think about it and Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened tries to remind us of that.
